Always loved Procol Harum, and especially this song from their debut album, and had started recording it on a whim a couple of months before the news of Gary Brooker’s passing- what a wonderful singer! Wish I’d had it ready sooner, but we had some technical issues; at any rate, it’s appropriate to have such particularly fine work here from another favorite keyboardist, my Philharmonic colleague Cliff Spencer- yay, Spiff!
