She Saw Me First

She Saw Me First” – CT demo, recorded at Babyland, May, 2020. Haven’t been writing much lately, but this one was simple enough I didn’t have to go to much trouble (no messy verses or bridges, just chorus chorus chorus), and my longtime colleague Davey “Baby” Greenberger was kind enough to come up with an excellent lyric about his ma, so off we go!

If I’m lucky, the ascending melodic drama is vaguely reminiscent of Conway Twitty’s “It’s Only Make Believe”, albeit wimpier and way less exciting; love to do a much heavier band version someday… but who needs excitement anyway?

I Love it Love it Love it

Plus now I know that a beautiful song can be chorus chorus chorus . No mess. And it’s all only make believe anyway.
