I Got To Move (original version)

I Got To Move” -the Incredible Casuals, from “New Hats For Summer”, #2 in the Inedible Casserole series, recorded by Rikki Bates.

We have five completely different versions of this one, by three different bands (3 by the Casuals and 1 each by the Chandler Travis Philharmonic and by Lester), and I always thought it could be fun to put out all of them on an EP, but never quite got around to it, so here we go, here’s the first of the five, And will hopefully get to the others in the coming weeks!

This one hails from 1979 or 80, and features the original trio lineup of the Incredible Casuals (Steve Shook, Rikki Bates, and myself), doing the original doo-wop version, recorded at Mt. Cod in Orleans, our first Cape Cod home (and special thanks there to our original benefactor, Rob “Mad Dog” Hart, the Bully of Broadcasting!)
