“I Want To Dance With Somebody” -the Chandler Travis Philharmonic with special guest Steve Westfield, at the Dockside at Brunelle’s Marina in South Hadley, June 11, 2016, recorded by The Valet. A wedding party arrived late to our gig at the Dockside, and the bride wanted to hear “I Want To Dance With Somebody”, apparently by Whitney Houston, which I don’t think I’ve ever heard, but as always, I didn’t see that as a disadvantage at all! Lucky for us, Steve Westfield (who I’d never met, but had always heard interesting things about his band the Pajama Slave Dancers) was on hand to make the whole thing so transcendent that we ended with it (because after all, how could you follow it?) Thoroughly delightful, and Mr. Westfield will always be welcome!
