Saturday, November 4, 2012 was the mmmm-mmmm’th birthday of our friend/booking agent/publicist/den mother/chef/innkeeper (did we say friend? … because really that’s what’s most important) Denise Borden. Denise has been a treasure for us over the last several years (has it been four? five? six? more? frankly, we’ve lost count, as it seems like just yesterday we met Denise and her husband Rich), housing & feeding us when we’re in the Albany area, booking us into new venues in the area, getting us radio play and press, not to mention many many nights of staying up with us, chatting and drinking wine well into the wee hours.
In short, we all love Denise dearly.
So, the afternoon after our show at Valentine’s in Albany, NY, we played a surprise birthday party for Denise at the same venue (special thanks to Howard Glassman for letting us use the place and for helping with the surprise). Family, friends and fans were there, the Philharmonic, the Catbirds, Pete Labonne and David Greenberger all performed, and Denise had no clue it was going to happen.
Here’s video from the birthday party with a soundtrack of Chandler singing “Never Neverland”, also from the party. The video was shot & edited by our good pal Joel Patterson at Mountaintop Studios.
Happy Birthday, Denise!
