Ducky Carlisle was much beloved by all my bands and pretty much everyone I know in the Boston area and beyond, and was the brilliant engineer of all the Philharmonic and Three-O albums, not to mention the last albums by the Incredible Casuals and the Catbirds. He was also my fully accredited Minister of Beverages, a demanding job that may have taken its toll. A compleat enthusiast and connoisseur of fine food, fab music, team sports, slammin’ them drums, and crazy peoples in general- there will never be another like him.
